A Hero's Welcome

first off Den Haag. i like this town and i like this venue. in 96 i took acid after crossing border festival and went awol. they were marvellous psychedelic times, i can assure you.

we're still getting into the swing of things set list wise but tonight was good, the crowd was great and it was fun to see Rene after the show. way better (imo) than last time we played here.

had a visit from Mark and Carol from Baileys Guitars (http://www.baileyguitars.co.uk) in the u.k. who brought with them some 'axes' for me to try out. their guitars are all handbuild and absolute quality. they kindly lent me a fantastic prototype SP1 for the tour which is 'Thin Lizzy tastic' . if you're after craftmanship and blinding playability, i can recommend these guitars. go visit the website.

after the gig John our tour manager goes missing. he's gone to pick up some excellent bottles of wine. he bursts onto the bus at 4.a.m. with a bag of wine exclaiming "ta-da!" like the hero returning from battle only to find us all fast asleep. boring, boring bastards.
