Favorite Suicide Pact track?

#

Started by Teethgrinder (Guest)

Hi all,

To start the first discussion on the board: What’s your favorite track from Suicide Pact - You First?

Mine would be ‘He’s not that kind of girl’ at the moment.

Teethgrinder.

You don’t like Hate Kill Destroy?? Man, that was unexpected! I really like that song… Sister rocks indeed! I saw them in the Paradiso in Amsterdam, and they played it, and it is one of the best live songs, although I prefered He’s not that kind of girl…

Thanks for the compliment about the messageboard… Tell your friends! :)
If you have any suggestions as to how to improve it, please let me know.

It seems like I’m not alone to have these two songs as favourites.

Well, it’s not easy too chose just one track. But i like sister, that song rocks but i also likes God Kicks. Don’t know why, but i just love Andy’s deep voice in that song…! Saw T? in Sweden 30/11 and they really kicked some arse!
Swedish T? fans can find some T? info on my site (in swedish) at http://hem.passagen.se/toboja/Therapy.htm
See ya..! =)

The only song I’m not keen on is God Kicks. Big Cave In almost gave me a hard on when I first heard it at Glasgow and I can’t wait to see them again at Edinburgh in February now I’ve had a chance to listen to the album as it’s definitely a grower. By the way, 6 Mile Water is nothing short of beautiful.

It started off as He’s Not… for me. Then moved to Sister, and now I’m really into Little Tongues First. A fantastic song.

It should be the single for MTV.
ah ah
Jk. All songs are perfect, once you hear them live. But if you haven’t seen them live with this new album, then you can’t really have a straight opinion about it.

Oh my, now this is a hard question…
but I think that my favourite right now
is Ten year plan (Is it just me who get
a great Iggy Pop/Stooges vibe from it?
But there’s really no song I don’t like
except Heat, kill, destory.. that one
does nothing for me. And all of them get
a second dimension to them when played
live. I was lucky enough to catch the
London gig and it was nothing short of
amazing…

I really hope they get the anttention
(and sales!) they deserve for SP-YF.
They’ve fucking earned it!

And doesn’t Andy look more and more like
Charlie Manson? : )

the 2 medi-ocre songs are god kicks and other peoples misery and the one shit song is Ten Year Plan-I honestly cant see the attraction in that song

why does no one like ten year plan? it is the best song on spyf without a doubt!! i also think that he’s not that kind of girl, wall of mouths and 6 mile water are the biggest tunes there, and the waste of space track is other people’s misery, a pointless unoriginal take on hardcore, or is that the point?
laterz…

Ten Year Plan just goes on and on

Other Peoples Misery shows some of

i am afraid this is not so, it is amzing. ten year plan is the best therapy? song ever recorded. what more can i say? i suppose one man’s meat is another man’s poison but i find it really hard to accept that some people actually DISLIKE that song. i cannot put down in words how much i have been looking forward for material like this from the therapy? camp. outstanding. i must say that the rest of spyf is fantastic too. if i must choose my LEAST favourite song, then it would be other people’s misery cos it is very unoriginal as harry says and i think that perhaps the time that elapses during that track could have been used more wisely.

When I first heard Suicide Pact, I thought the whole album was really gay, but after repeated headphone experiences, I realise it is the sound of a band who has gone totally back to it’s roots, and done what it does best, filthy aggressive hardcore rock. I want Therapy? to play live in my airing cupboard, failing that, a gig at the Hull Adelphi boys?

Jam Jar Jail rules
Ten Year Plan rules and kinda reminds me of the
old Hawkwind stuff (I’m such an old fogie!!)
Brainstorm,Masters of the Universe,Damnation Alley etc.
The whole goddam album mashes everything into
the fuckin weeds!!!!!!!!
All Therapy?’s stuff is like that.
Can’t put your finger on it sometimes why they’re
so neck-shatteringly brilliant but they just Rock!!!
Hate Kill Destroy!

First, let me say that Suicide Pact is definately NOT the best T? album! I dislike most of the tracks, except for Six Mile Water and Sister. God Kicks and Hate Kill Destroy are T?’s worst songs ever. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Therapy?, but SP-YF was a very disappointing album! I guess I’m just a weirdo. Most people who really like SP-YF dislike Semi-Detached, whereas I think Semi-Detached is one of T?’s best albums ever!

I can’t see anyone on here with the user name Disgracelands so I’m using that instead of Richard as it’s my favourite T? track along with Kids Stuff.

My favourite tracks on SP-YF are

1.Jam Jar Jail
2.Six Mile Water
3.Sister
4.God Kicks (which sounds a lot like Diane on the Lonley, Cryin’, Only single)

The album is very cool altogether though.
