How do you say Therapy?

#

Started by Viirkokka

I was wondering.. since Therapy? has a question mark on the end, technically it should be pronounced in a higher pitch as it’s a question word.

But then also, it’s a symbol, kinda like a rhetorical question, but not.

I always pronounced it as a normal word, such as just saying “Therapy” instead of raising the pitch.

I was wondering what others think? :P

But seriously, have been thinking about this also. Would really sound a bit derranged to pronounce it high pitched IMO.

Personally I variate a lot. I say, ‘Therapy?’ only when I try to be witty though. Other than that, if it’s a quick sentence I’ll just say, ‘Therapy’. In other cases I say ‘Therapy questionmark’.. it sounds very complete.

Haha, I think it should be pronounced without the stress on the end, otherwise everytime Andy introduces the band on stage, he’d sound like he didn’t know which band he was in. :)

‘We’re Therapy? Aren’t we?’
