Mikehell is going to be on the ATL Rockschool next Sunday on BBC2 Ireland. Which I don’t have. Curses.

Anyone with SKY digital can get it… think BBC NI is buried somewhere around the 960s with the rest of the regional channels

No, it’s BBC NI - there’s no different version down here.

Is this show a battle of the bands type thing? I guess Michael will be a judge of some kind?

I may not be at home on Sunday night so I probably will miss this, especially if it’s not T?-related as such.

Yeah, from what Michael has told me, it was some sort of talent contest between young bands (14/15 year olds) and Michael, Neil Hannon and a chap I can’t remember the name of from NME were the judges.

Sounds like what Graham did recently for an show on RTE (Irish TV). He has been on it a few times, mentoring a young band of kids. They covered Screamager actually, as one of their songs.

No one see this then?

I just watched the intro, the presenter kept making a big point of how Therapy? had toured for “over 15 years”, then Mr McKeegan said the main thing he was looking for was “intensity” (or something like that), but I quickly turned over before the local “talent” could do their thing

Oh it was good!! :D

Michael wasn’t as hard on the bands as the other too judges, but, to be fair, all of the judges were quite harsh on that band of 10 year olds… I thought they were ok.

In the end though, the best band won… Nice n Sleezy… seen them at the AU gig last June.. a wee bit weird, and slightly camp but the tunez aint bad! :p

*waits for abuse*

Didn’t see it, can’t get the channel, but it’s a pity most people react like what you see above, people are just too quick to judge… without giving the bands a chance, their talent is already being questioned… why? because they’re young, or just because they’re (still) unknown? I think it’s sad… :(

Great programme and Mikehell being his usual nice self.

Was watching it in the company of 2 girls and Mike will be glad to hear he has beautiful eyes , a great accent and what a ride he is :D

Thought the second band ( The Q ) were pretty good but can live with Nice n Sleezy winning it. Best show of them all.
Great intro film as well how culchies shout abuse at them from cars when they walk around Enniskillen dressed like that.
