True, I mean, how could a band without John Deacon* be called “Queen”?!

I’ve tried several times throughout the day to get on the O2 Arena website - and it is crashed due to being too busy! And they haven’t even confirmed the gig yet!

I don’t even want to go, I’m just curious as to what the official O2 word is before the official announcement, but flipping good job I don’t cos if this is anything to go by, tickets will be like the proverbial rocking horse shit…

Some bands dont know when to quit. Apparently JASON Bonham is drumming for LED ZEP.

Ahem …When your drummers SON is playing drums for you - its time to Quit.

Mind you - 3 out of 4 surving membeers is better than 2 + session musos..The Who, Queen…

Apparently I’ve been hearing the Police are sounding horrible on their reuinion tour…Shame I wanted to see them. But now I’m not going to bother.

Our drummer went to see them, he said they were pretty good…didn’t seem bowled over with excitement though - I think the inclusion of Rankin Roger on Roxanne was a step too far!

Yeuch!

Wasn’t it Sting that said that?

TWENTY MILLION hits on the website to register! Gonna be a hell of a lot of disappointed folk out there for a 20,000 capacity show!

Personally, whilst I appreciate that the band are only doing this as a one-off tribute to a friend of theirs rather than specifically as a reunion of the band, I still think it’s a bit selfish of them to stick to one solitary gig when there’s such a demand. Would a one-off world tour be such a hardship for them?

And I hope they DO film it for a DVD, rather than the whole Live Aid debacle where they wouldn’t give permission for their footage to be used cos it wasn’t up to scratch (and whislt we’re on the subject, how come Innuendo with Percy Plant singing is mysteriously missing from the DVD of the Freddie Mercury Tribute gig…?)

I thought maybe Copeland was hoping someone else would sit there instead of him.

Must be galling to be someone like the dude out of Ocean Colour Scene or Mark Richardson, banging away at drums all this time and yet it’s a bloke in an ape suit on a Cadbury advert that gets the fame.

True. I expect the fact that their mums make them pin a name and address label to the inside of their coats when they go on tour in case they get lost kind of gives it away.
