Saturday, March 3, come on down to the 2007 Baltimore Zine & D.I.Y. Fest at 2640 St. Paul Street!
The Zine & D.I.Y. Fest is a one-day cavalcade of self-sufficient, low-budget strategies for making stuff and doing things. Tablers at the festival range from bookstores to button-makers, from musicians to mechanics, and from artists to authors. Tired of buying crap at big-box stores, and interested in learning some practical skills instead? Attend one of the skill-share workshops and learn something new for FREE!
Special Update! AL BURIAN, author of the zine Burn Collector, will be speaking at the Zine + DIY Fest (at 3pm).
Tabling & skill-share workshops run from noon-8PM
Proposed Workshops Include:
Silkscreening
D.I.Y. Home Improvement
Home-brewery with B’more Brew Not Bombs
Alternative health and women’s health info-share
Balanced Vegan Cooking with Baltimore Food Not Bombs (free food served at 7PM!)
Bike-repair basics with the Velocipede Bike Project
Streaming radio
Electronic music and audio processing
How to start a DIY events venue and book shows
… and more!
