Can They have success again?

Do you feel Therapy? can reach the highs they emulated in the 90’s again???

Or is that in the past?

just becuase their not on front of kerrangs anymore or in the chart doesnt mean their not having ‘sucess’

isnt playing the music you love to people you love as a living all the ‘sucess’ anyone could ask for.

I hate how people confused popularity and ‘sucess’

a video on mtv is not friggin sucess

and therapy? are still making fresh innovatibve music 18 years on and still managing to reach new young fans whilst pleasing the old, therapy? chose not to be what the record industry wanted them to be and hats of to the guys for that

its like the line from potato junkie ’ i can see you, i can read you, i wont be you’

I don’t confuse popularity and success…they are very much interlinked!

In short:
T? will never be as popular as what they were in the early - mid 1990’s.

However, that doesn’t mean they won’t be successful.

If I was in a rock band, success would be making albums with my friends, doing gigs and having banter with other people, I wouldn’t see them as fans, just people that happen to like the music.
If you see everyone as fans it could put more pressure on you. Could be good pressure or bad pressure.

I asked could Therapy? emulate the success they had in the 90’s

In the music industry popularity and success are interlinked…

…You give me an example, your popularity socially not being interlinked with your exams…

I’m sorry that is funny…

You are going completely off the point.

It was simple yes or no answer…

To rekindle the glory days or not?

As for people having a problem with me thats just a nasty rumour!

well your basically asking can therapy? achieve the highs they copied in the 90’s

emulate of course in a nutshell means copy or mimmick, so whos highs were they ‘emulating’ im all confused at what your saying.

And considering I said already…”To rekindle the glory days or not?”…if you are still having problems with working out what I’m trying to ask…you are beyond my help!

You jumped in on the Bye Bye Knoxville thread an made equally bizarre comments…

With the day thats in it, April 1st…I’m expecting worse to come…

If your definition of success means that T? are still, potentially, able to emulate the success around Troublegum then I believe it’s possible.. assuming that I am allowed to interpret success as being a possibility of multiple forms of success beyond say, recordsales. It all depends on what you mean.

What I think is that, according to what I think is success, Therapy? can have plenty success, but why would they need to ‘emulate’ the type of successes of past glory? That’s up to them, so I wouldn’t want to wander far enough to answer with a concrete yes or no.

I believe I’m leaning towards what Colin said.

Ciao everyone.

will they equal their glory days of the 90’s…I don’t know how many ways you can interpet that??? it’s either yes or no…

You can interpet “success” all the “multiple” ways you want…in the music industry that is album sales & fan base.

And “but why would they need to ‘emulate’ the type of successes of past glory”…why does any band want to play to big crowd and have big album sales???

Either your Gimme under another user name or
I think you might be watching too much Judge Judy.
