The problem with giving someone the status of legend is that you’ll always get one person who disagrees.

But for me: Bon Scott, Angus, Patton, Bolan, Ray Davies, Tonwsend, Plant, All the T? boys, Alex Harvey, Bowie, Steve Harris, Ginger, Nazarath …etc.

Not made anywhere close to a big enough impact to be considered in this category. Great band - yes! Great fontman - yes! Legend - not for me!

Some people consider their parents to be legends so I’m sure it doesn’t matter who goes under that title regardless what others may consider more deserving or not.

I suppose this whole question really (as has been pointed out) is a metter of opinion. For me a legend is someone who is famous and universally admired because of something they’ve achieved in a particular area - be it sport or music.

In those terms, for me, Andy cannot be considered a legend. The mention of his name would lead to a blank look from most people if you asked them. He’s great at what he does - no doubt about that so I’m not knocking andy!

I’m not knocking anyone who has different criteria for identifying a legend but not for me.
