1997 was my year for every good reason up to the penultimate week of October, then everything just fell apart. The last day I was 100% glad I was me was 1 May 97.

I must admit I have got better over the years, but I have my “anniversary” dates that are always a bit hard. I speak to mates who know what happened and I sometimes hear a sense of worry in their voices, but they know if they ask a question I’ll give them a straight answer.

I got my poetry self published for me to hand out to those friends who I could trust to not ring for the padded van & men in white coats. One even gave it to his psychologist wife - that was a fun lunchtime!

Mate to feel pain is to be human, it’s like Andy says “Happy people have no Stories”.

for f**ks sake!! This is like listening to Ian Curtis narrating “100 most tragic Eastenders moments” with Leonard Cohen providing the soundtrack. On the Titanic.

And how dare you compare this thread to Wastenders - that programme is a waste of brain power to try & follow. I’d rather listening to Jo Pasquale narrating the “100 most saddest/tragic exits from The Bill” with a Russ Abbott medley as backing!!!

You dont need to try and follow eastenders - switch it on at any point and something bloody awful will have just happened or be just about to happen.

And you are a terrible liar - I know perfectly well that you would rather drill holes in your eardrums via your teeth than listen to Joe Pasquali speak for 10 seconds. Although you did once mention that you were a big fan of Russ Abbot :p

You’ve got the eastenders thing right - bloody awful script, acting & setting. It doesn’t even have any decent “eye candy”!! It made Brookside look like a Shakespear masterpiece!!!

I can deal with Pasquali alright - as for Russ Abbot, I bet you bought at least one of his songs!?!? And that’s not jealousy talking either!!

I most certainly did not - I couldn’t even name one … but I remember you asking if I had any Russ Abbot stuff you could borrow, because you also asked if I could get you a copy of Les Dennis’ autobiography and anything at all featuring Paul Daniels or Simon Cowell :)

Squall you can’t let world events like that affect your life here.

Alot of it is speculation and sensationalised anyway, minus poverty in Africa and Iraq.

But things like bin bugs in the daily mail, a new series of big brother in the sun.. hardly worth going emo over. :D

@ Squall - Just because other people are suffering doesn’t mean you have to be miserable! In fact if you look at it like that, what right have you got to be miserable? You should be thankful for everything you have got. I don’t expect any starving kids would be too impressed with you sitting round feeling sorry for yourself - I expect they have other things on their minds. If you really worry about what you read in the papers then sign up for VSO and do something about it!

Do you like my horse?

*laughs and gallops off through the shit without a care in the world*
