Live Earth

Is it just me or is this idea a pile of shat?

Let me explain.

To raise awareness about saving the environment a concert will be hosted. 100,000 bell-ends will drive, taxi, train, fly etc into a concert hall (thus destroying the atmosphere with monoxide) watch a bunch of money grabbing ‘stars’ play a couple of songs - with huge PA’s and lights, plus hundreds of promoters, crew members etc (thus adding to the pollution in the air), preach how we should all be doing more to save the planet, and then drive home again?

What toss. Surely a webcast would make more sense in helping to preserve our fragile environment? As for the stars themselves? I am ashamed - i know you can’t expect much from twats like Madonna and Razorlight but these cunts you adore are obviously only doing it to raise their profiles. Think of all the cleaners, construction workers, hotdog vendors, Security companies, etc that will be going out of their way to destroy the atmosphere to get to the concert to make some money!

THE WORLD IS GOING CRAZY AND WHO IS THERE TO TELL?

ps - please don’t johnny knoxville me - i’m only pointing something out!

Well said that man.

Unlike Live Aid/8, this is just an ego boost.

I think it’s do with the fact T? wouldn’t be seen dead at Live Earth?!?!?(I hope never to T? dead in my life time).

Your guys have got it pretty spot on. It’s more ego than eco concert.

No, I just wrote in the wrong forum! That raises an interesting question though… would I go if T? were playing? Think i’d have to say no actually.
