I saw a Clash film in the 80’s that was the biggest pile of intolerable tripe I have ever seen. It was a kind of fly on the wall documentary and they were stoned of their tits and just threw up and swore all the way through it as far as I recall. Is that the one you mean?

I will definitely keep my eye out for it. Is there any way you can delete the extras so you never accidentally sit through that crap again? :D

TFIU wasn’t really ‘about’ the Clash at all - it was about Joe Strummer and the effect that he had on the people around him and the effect the Clash had on him, so there is stuff about the 101ers and the Mescaleros too but mainly it was about his life, and like I say, it was all thrown together into a sort of scrapbook style so that Clash footage wasn’t really in any chronological order, it was just whatever was relevant to what was being said.

I should warn you that one of the celebrity fans was Bono, but he wasn’t in it much and he didn’t talk about himself at all :)

He is best known for being frontman with The Clash, who were knocking about in the late 70’s/ early 80’s.

Died in 2002 from a heart attack.

Quite the hero to many people.

i saw joe at t in the park about 10 years ago. cant remember what his band was called but they played all the old clash classics which was nice. bankrobber, what a fucking tune!!:D
