I don’t hate them - as musicians thay all have an impressive back catalogue. I just think VR make horrible music.
They lack any real spark for me. It’s kind of music by numbers, unoriginal, generic, uninspiring, standard fayre which could have written by any number of 8th rate rock bands. There are hundreds of bands churning this shit out and most of them will never make it.
If you like them go enjoy but not for me.

Squall, music is about freedom of expression, you don’t need to play or sing well to be an artist.
The sad thing is that as you “like your musicians to have SOME singing and playing ability” then you’re missing out on so much. And no amount of smiley faces at the end of every sentence is gonna change that.

Although I have to agree on this one - Pete Doherty is a shit bag who can’t write a good tune if his life depended on it. The only reason he bacame famous is cos he got loads of NME journo’s to come to his flat and share his drugs, which resulted in a ‘scene’ based around ‘having it’, lots of hype and chatter and little quality or depth.

I read less than two months ago on the BBC news web site that Doherty was arrested again for possession.
Where did you hear Slash was in rehab last year? I’m pretty sure that if ‘he was’ then it’s more likely to have been for alcohol as he has a weak heart due to it stopping, three or four times…

I think thats a bit unfair really. You need to earn a living don’t you? I bet T? would love to be laughing all the way to the bank… and how can you be sure that if VR hadn’t ‘made it’ they would give up? They might have done a T? and carried on regardless because they love it.
I think its Axl Pose who is flogging the dead horse - after their laughable performance at Download last year when Axl was acting like it was still 1992!
