Own your own football club

#

Started by Kill_Hill (Brendan)

well own a share in a football club for 35 quid. Check out the link below for more info. Basically its a site that is looking to raise about 1.5 million to buy out a club. There will be 50,000 share holders each with one vote. You can vote who you would like to see play each week etc or trust the manager to do the job. Check out the web site for full details.

What kind of divs are voting for Arsenal?!

Don’t they think it may cost just a tad more than 1.75 million for a club like that?

ya i think some of the clubs voted for are a bit far fetched to say the least. Even Leeds sounds like a stretch. I’v registered also, should be interesting

its a good idea, although paying £35 per year and getting nothing back seems a bit of a rip off to me, unless the team they buy is the team you support.

You’d probably make a lot of money off it if, for example, the team eventually got promoted to the Premier League or qualified for Europe and you sold your share. You’d even make a bit if they got into the Championship.

But most of all it looks like a good laugh, and I love playing fantasy football / football manager, and this is basically the real thing!

EDIT And it’s only £7.50 a year

Members owned club , the way forward imo.

Means putting your money where your mouth is basically , with a monthly financial contribution.

In exchange one gets a vote in the club , can call EGMs and the likes. Free season ticket as well but that one I refused as I’d rather pay in.
