Sounds like Green Day or something… Thought they were going thrash again?
Not really impressed with that to be honest, only good thing about it it that Kirk is actually playing a lead again.
Will be listening to this one before buying.

:D Oh it definitely won’t be.
They realise now it was a mistake. Why do you think theyve hired Rick Rubin and have been working on it since November 2005 ?
St Anger was written, recorded and released all within a year.
James and Lars have beoth stated they’re taking as much time as needed to make it as good as it can be.
PLus Kirk has said that its the best album they’ve done since the black album. But Kirk can waffle almost as much as Lars.
But so far, everyone has been saying its ” groovy, heavy, dynamic, fast and fairly long ”
Although I hope by ” long ” they mean like Disposable Heroes and not Invisible Kid :D

I hope the Rick Rubin connection is to do with his credentials as a producer of some fine thrash albums over the years and not just cos he is the “It” producer at the moment.
I mean, so many bands are trying to get him to produce their albums right now, I wouldn’t be surprised if the next James Blunt album* had a Rubin production credit.
(*if, God forbid, there should ever be such a vile thing..)

As promised couple of excellent quality:) pics from my archive. It was one of the BEST gigs I´ve ever seen. After MOP I got losing my intrest. That album still rocks among the 1st and RTL. Burton looks like a ghost in the pic, walking in the air. Sadly he became one in the fall that same year in Sweden:( Good friend of mine has got more pics of this gig but I think they´re crap quality like these. But take a look if you´re interested in Metallica:)

saw them also in 88 and 04. 86 was deffo the best gig of these, they were not dinosaurs yet then and they had this bloody great drive and passion in their playing. dunno about these days, hope they´ll find that passion again.
