I skimmed that album ( not literally - for those of you who will no doubt make that joke ! :D )

in HMV and have to say first impressions are GOOD :)

I Will purchase ASAP since I love the smashies and Jimmy is an excellent drummer.

The tribal drumming in United States is fantastic.

bought it for a friend for his birthday, so please don’t get me involved in another “Velvet Revolver are better than Babyshambles” argument, cos for my money they’re both shite.

Last CD I bought was Fun House by the Stooges. Good stuff, even if Iggy still acts like a 20 year old on acid.

I got hold of that at the weekend… i still think Corgans voice is getting more annoying with every album.. but i thought it was the best album they have done since that double one… i’m not a huge fan but i think it’s okay.

Drist - Orchids and Ammunition

It’s okay but can easily get lost in the music being given a higher profile. Yes the one on Guitar Hero or Guitar Hero 2 (can never remember which one it is) is one of the better songs

P.S. They are looking for a new drummer according to their myspace page (well last time I looked, anyway)

The Turbonegro one is a good album but not a patch on their earlier stuff…

Jury is still out on the Pumpkins.

Well its not really the pumpkins is it, its a Billy Corgan solo record… funny how the last one he released under his own name bombed and went straight into the bargain buckets!

Not bad, not great though. A couple of really strong tunes padded out by far too many falsetto ballads…yeuch!

Still looking forward to seeing him live, though. A full set at the O2 Arena followed by an after-show set in the smaller Indigo club. Should be one hell of an evening!
