It appears Andy isnt on the new album, and I see they’re touring soon. Really dissapointed, thought his track was great would have loved to gone and seen him with a different band.

I never expected andy or any of the people from the first album to be involved… I thought the point of the band was to have different people singing each song depending on what style they wanted.

With the number of singers involved, it’s pretty difficult to get a one off show done sometimes, let alone a tour. It was luck that Andy could do the show at the LA2 a couple years back. And even then he had to have his own lyrics written out for him as he was too drunk to remember otherwise!

The supergroup featuring members from no less than 19 bands!!! including: Killing Joke, Funeral For A Friend, Hundred Reasons, Sikth, Fightstar, Pitchshifter, Earthtone9, Carcass, Napalm Death, Send More Paramedics, Therapy?, Hiding Place, Amen, Murder One, Charger, The Ghost of a Thousand, New Model Army, and 36 Crazyfists hit the road for their first ever UK tour this October.

Mikee Goodman (SikTh) said: “The band has so much energy - I can’t wait to get on the road with Menace, be there.
Colin Doran (Hundred Reasons) said: “This tour is going to be chaos and I can’t wait.”
Jeff Walker (Carcass) said: “I’m really looking forward to drinking Carlsberg, & getting stoned from Mikee’s dreads”.

This is Menace’s new album is set for release in September. A video preview of their forthcoming DVD “Emotion Sickness” can be found on their myspace

Title: Message from Andy C

“Dear KJ Gould,
Working with the This is Menace project was a fantastic experience for me. Jason and Mark are two of the best musicians in the business. Both have an incredible style and are inspirational to many people.

Performing with them live was great and a fantastic night. regarding “having to have the lyrics written out for me as I was so drunk” is a fallacy. They were my own lyrics and I wrote them out for myself. I had heard the tune when it was presented to me by Jason, wrote the lyrics in an evening and had them recorded by the man himself on a laptop backstage at the Oxford Zodiac before a Therapy? show.

If you mean to degrade my efforts by your input on our website then go fuck yourself. I’m very proud of my involvement in the whole project and am very upset by your comments. I thought I had treated the whole experience with respect, something which you have not shown me, I’d be interested to hear Jason and Mark’s comments on the affair.

I wish This Is Menace all the very best in their future works as I feel they are doing something which this business needs right now.

Andy C.”

Oh get over yourself Andy, seriously. You’re upset by what I said? How many years have you been doing this now? How many journos and so called experts have said far far worse then I in their ‘objective’ criticism?

From a fan in the crowd perspective, that’s an annecdote people have carried away with them. Microphone in one hand, lyric sheet in the other, you looking a little worse for ware, but everyone was having fun, Rock’n’Roll, life goes on. I’m sure that will look great on the DVD Mark and Jason have spent a lot of time and money on … unless it’s been edited out. But as you treated the whole experience with respect, why would it be?

Las bit of spam, but this is the best deal for the new album (free delivery UK) . Plus I think HMV lose money at this price, so pre-order it while you can!
