Albums out the same month that you were born?

#

Started by The Auto Surgeon (Mark)

I was bored so I tried to find out what well known (so not necessarily good) albums come into the world the same month I did.

I honestly don’t know what to make of the results :-s , I know there’s probably loads more, but i found these:

Blondie - Blondie (the original on Private Stock Records)
Eagles - Hotel California
AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap (in Europe, US had to wait until April 1981)
Queen - A Day At The Races
Genesis - Wind and Wuthering
Wings - Wings Over America

What come out when you were born?

When I was born people had only just learned to bash their fists on taut animal skins. I thought I’d better point that out before everyone else did …

I didn’t think you were older than Wagner mrs h !?!? :-o :D

Plus I don’t believe that you are that old, but even if you are sheet music had a sales chart from the mid 20s. So I think you just don’t want to tell us. And if you don’t - that’s fine. ;)

Well for someone in my old office we had to do exactly that - and for his no.1 on his birthday too!! And you’re nowhere near his age.

Plus I can’t force you to say.

No, someone scouted out on the internet who released papers in that month - to this day I don’t know what site that they got the info from. They even gave the names of the first people to do the songs.

Had we given him sheet music, it would have been like giving a book of stamps to an ardvark!!!

Where do you find all that stuff ?

Only thing I came across is that I share a birthday with Jane Austen and Ludwig van Beethoven.

@ Dennis - I just did a google search under - Albums released Decemeber 1976
And then looked through pages of stuff. Quite a few hits just referred to the attempted assasination of Bob Marley (3 Dec. 76).

@ chr1s - Classy :D

@ Cuchulain - Truely Classy (as long as it was the ELP album that included Fanfare For The Common Man) :D

Well, I managed to find out that Talking Heads’ 2nd album was released in the month I was born, along with Dire Straits’ 1st

Interestingly, Dead Kennedys were formed that month, which is more significant…
