I’d say that a pair of Die Laughing 12’s would be impressive, but considering people like Alex or me probably have 60-70 items in our collections, we can afford to scoff at you. Now, if you’d like to buy all of my collection, including such fan favorites as Meat Abstract, Have a Merry Fucking Xmas, Troublegum promo bubblegum, a framed painting of the Troublegum cover, watches, phonecards, Bad Mother etc… you can send a check or money order for $1000 to me.

David Holmes is good though! I kinda wish DJ Shadow or Paul Oakenfold would remix some T? as well.

The David Holmes 12’ isn’t that rare. I’ve seen them on the Yahoo auction a couple of times and nobody bids on them..

By the way, what CD do you think is the most rare? I’d go for the Bad Mother (I’m looking for a new one since mine is scratched.. arrrrgh) and maybe the Screamager promo or the numbered Suicide Pact - You First advance album (I got #1 out of 500, sorry I had to brag too) :-Þ

Cheers

Most rare CD..hmm..this is kind of my area of expertise. Here’s my little list of what’s rare:

1. Bad Mother, of course
2. Stories re-release, or course
3. Die Laughing laughing CD (which I’m unfortunately trading away for #1)
4. Stay Happy promo
5. Hate Kill Destroy promo (they actually numbered this one—2000 of them around)
6. Church of Noise CD single with 60-Watt Bulb AND Suing God
7. Diane single double CD..haven’t seen too many of these for sale around.

The Screamager promo isn’t too bad. I probably have an extra one sitting around here somewhere.

cheers,

Ahh..

I have never seen the Stay Happy promo.. so I guess it’s kinda rare.

But Suing God and 60 Watt Bulb was on all the Church of Noise singles released in Europe to my knowledge.. but I think that’s the case with most T?-stuff out there. What’s rare in the USA isn’t quite so rare in Europe ans vice versa.

Sure the Hate Kill Destoy promo is numbered? I can’t see any number on my copy.

Cheers

I’m told that Hate Kill Destroy is numbered and limited to 2000. The 2000 limit I’m sure of, but seeing as how I haven’t seen one myself, I couldn’t say if they are indeed numbered.

With Church of Noise, the UK CD single only had Suing God, the CoN remix and the video. 60 Watt Bulb was only on 7’ vinyl. There was a mainland Europe release of the CoN CD single which had both Suing God and CoN. Maybe it’s more common than I thought. I just assumed that all of Europe got the CD single that didn’t have 60 Watt Bulb on it. Of course, here in America, Semi-Detached was never released, and no T? single has ever been released!

I would say that the Meat Abstract 7’ is pretty rare, yes. :)

Some advance CD’s are CD-R’s but not all.. the SPYF advance album isn’t a CD-R.

Bastorstiv,

In response to your question, is limited to about 1,150 copies on vinyl. There was an original demotape (limited to 150) that the band sold at early concerts. The actual 7’ was released on their Multifuckingnational label, and had an original pressing of 1000 copies. There were another 150 printed after this, which were given away. Personally, my copy is one of the 1000 from the first batch.
The Merry Fucking Xmas 7’ is also limited to about 1000 copies. There’s a bootleg 7’ of it as well, which is a little less rare. I’ve also heard that the white label Church of Noise 12’ is limited to around 200 copies, but I’m not so sure of this, as I picked one up with relative ease.
In terms of CDs, the 1996 Fan Club CD that you mentioned is fairly rare. For a time, you could actually write to the band’s fan club address and just buy one, but since then I haven’t seen one around. Another good, rare T? CD would be the laughing Die Laughing CD—when you open up the digipak, it laughs. I saw a couple of these floating around last month, but none since. I probably should have bought one of them, because I think the battery on mine is dying..it effect I think it’s died of laughing.
Advance CDs are not necessarily CD-Rs. There were promo CD-Rs released for the Stories single, Semi-Detached and SPYF among others, but there are also advance CDs that are what would be considered regular CDs.
