Jumper ( the movie )

What an absolute shite movie. Never been so bored in a cinema before. If you have plans to go see Jumper , you might as well save yourself the money and do something usefull with it.

From all the movies that came out lately , have to say I thought Sweeney Todd and Jumper were with the worst I’ve seen.
On the other hand , really good imo are Juno ( good movie and some great songs in it ) and No Country For Old Men ( easily best picture Oscar imo , best I’ve seen since The Departed ).

No worries, Johnny Rambo will be along to save the day soon :) can’t wait to dig the bandatta out of the wardrobe…

New one with Jack Black (“Please Press Rewind”?) looks quite funny - may go check that out.

Did you leave behind any damage that I should be aware of in Blanch cinema after being put through Jumper? ;)

I really want to see No Country For Old Men, since The Coen Brothers lost me with The Man Who Wasn’t There, and I didn’t bother with Intolerable Cruelty or the Tom Hanks one… Fargo is a masterpiece though, and i also love Raising Arizona, Big Lebowski, Blood SImple and Oh Brother Where Art Thou :)

Yes , screen 9 in the UCI should have the contents of my sweets goodie bag near the front as the temptation to start throwing things at that crap was just too big.
Mind you , it was mainly the milky bottle things as all the fizzy ones were just too yummie to throw away.

No Country for Old Men is a great movie! The killings are brutal and the psycho-murderer in it is insanely creepy. The ending left me wanting more and slightly unfulfilled but the movie was good enough throughout to be forgiven for that.

Golden Compass - sucked.
AVP Requim - sucked (as did AVP, nothing like the original Alien or Predator movies)
Juno - pretty good movie but the ending just didn’t quite tie it up.
Cloverfield - beginning and end sucked but the middle was good. great effects, some annoying actors but half worth seeing.

The trend at the moment is to make movies with craptacular endings!

Cloverfield had a perfect ending. You were meant to be watching a video tape that had been found some time after the attack. If it had ended with them being rescued it would have ruined the entire home movie effect. Besides, there’s a sequel coming…
