The WoM… a last resort. Have any of you had the misfortune to encounter this pile of *%&$ %$^&*&* $££^& *&%^$£$^ *^%££ ??

If so, were you able to comprehend how on earth to get it to copy from a camcorder to DVD? It seems to have all the right sockets, and we were reliably infomed that it has the capability. And no, the manual is no help whatsoever. It was written by aliens.

Sorry, no help here. As far as I ever got with alienist manuals was with my shit Ikea furniture back in college. Knew that physics course would come in handy! ;-)

Indeed Cuch, I eventually found a man who was able to fix it for me :) It was the most ridiculous thing in the world. When I use it to do any other copying (DVD to DVD etc), the TV has to be on the VCR channel but when you use a camcorder the TV has to be on ‘scart’ and you can’t access that via the control panel on the TV, only by using the remote control. Idiots.

I’m not writing this to be interesting, it’s just so that when I have another spaz attack when I have the same task next year, I’ll know where I have left some useful instructions.

Rene, can you please edit Hooch’s last post? She made a mistake and meant to say “When I use it to do any other copying (DVD to DVD etc), the TV has to be on the VCR channel but when you use a camcorder the TV has to be on ‘fire’ and you can’t do that via the control panel on the TV, only by switching the washing machine to ‘seven’, and doing a naked dance on the lawn.

I’m sure she’ll appreciate it next year.

Funny now. Not funny in one year, when Rene’s seen this and believes him.

It won’t take him that long to change it, surely? Oh… Right.
