I really liked the start of tropic thunder, then once the director blew up it was all downhill from there.
and whats with tom cruise trying to show off his ‘funny’ side? we all know hes an emotionless evil robot.
I agree about both things.
Cruise can try all he want, he’s not funny except when he’s just being himself trying to act normal.

Liked the idea of The Butterfly Effect but thought they botched it in the execution a bit. And Ashton Kutcher…dude makes me wanna hit an acting coach in the ascotted throat.

What? 158 replies and precisely NO mention of Blair Witch Project??? Now THAT was a film that really didn’t live up to any expectation - twenty minutes in and I couldn’t WAIT for the girl to get killed, irritating mare…

The problem I had with Blair Witch was they had about 20 mins of story stretched out to 88 mins. Might have worked better as a short film.

I really liked it… and the dossier that came out with it was a brilliant back story. They ruined it with the sequel though.

I agree - the idea behind it was good and original. Shame it turned out bobbins. And the sad part is, any other film that tries anything similar but better is doomed to be compared to it.
Oh, and It as well - I watched it under recommendation from someone whose opinion I trust on such matters - bored me shitless.

I don’t think I’ve ever been more dissapointed in a film than when I saw Hostel, I had been told it could compete with Saw :-/
