2009 - What are you looking forward to?

#

Started by Dennis (Dudley Less)

Yes I know it’s a way off, but many bands and artists have already announced tours and/ or albums for next year, so what 2009 releases are you already looking forward to?

There should be a new Therapy? album, of course.

I am also hoping good things for Morrissey, Slayer and U2 albums next year.

Well Kill_Hill and I are hoping to get to Amsterdam to see the Sisters which will be fucking great!

I’ve no idea about any other releases or tours so can’t add much more. Would be great to see another Electric Wizard album but they’re probably too busy smoking bongs in a graveyard somewhere.

Well its been a fucking poor year for gigs for me, so i’m hoping for tours from Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, Dylan, Lou Barlow in some guise or other, same with Patton. I’d love to see some new Justin Vernon stuff come out cos theres only so many times you can listen to one album! I’d also like to see Apple/EMI/Parlophone/Ono/whoever the fuck owns the fucking things sort out a decent reissue of the Beatles catalogue in some kinda nice remastered repackaged kinda series. Biggest band of all time and they can’t sort that out? The Stones have been reflogging the same old shit for years man!

Oh, and a T? tour! :D I wanna see some of you fuckers out there! :D

Oh yes, I’m off to AC/DC and Metallica too, as well as Pink (laugh all you want, she is amazing live)

I am hoping for a Therapy? gig too, as I haven’t seen them for years.

I hope Morrissey tours too, and I hope the band he has now is better than the one I saw him with last time that was flat as a pancake and played every song WAY too slow. (Bring back Spencer Cobrin on drums, says Dave to himself, to echoes of “Who?!”)

I’d also like to think there was a new band out there waiting to knock my socks off, but that hasn’t happened for years and years.

Maybe some new Down stuff? It’ll have been a couple of years since the last album by the middle of next year, won’t it?
Another album and tour would be nice from them, even better a live DVD from the last one.

But as it is my thread, I will make the rules up and say yes you can talk about anything you are looking forward to in 2009, music or not.
