I think charlie was joking, if you go to message boards of bigger bands and say you have a copy of the new album people get paranoid and demand photographic evidence, we all believe you no need for proof. and that guitar in your picture looks amazing can I see a bigger picture of it?

How the promo copies have stayed off ebay for so long is a mystery!
Its either really, really good and no one wants to flog them, or its really, really bad and folk don’t think they are gonna get very much for them ;D

@Gav, I know, I’m thinking the same thing… very surprised at the lack of album leakage. As you say, it either means that the band / record company have things *water tight*, or else there just isnt much interest. Hopefully it’s the former.

Bloody hell, even Spitfire went to the expense of using printed cdr acetates for their T? promo’s! Can’t believe Demolition are sending hand-written cdrs around as official promos… how are we to tell the genuine ones from the fakes when they end up on Ebay!?

True, but he got it from CMM. Either it was an ‘official’ promo from them or just a quick cdr made by a friend who happens to work there and not ‘official’ as such. Still, good to know that yours is an acetate. Now, send it to me… as proof, of course ;-)

@BKFYA - fecking amazing, it gets me right in the pit of my stomach every time I listen to it (and I haven’t been listening to much else). The whole album… just perfect, frankly. My favourites are Crooked Timber, Blacken The Page and Clowns Galore.
@Alan - of course mate, it’s in the post ;)

Hooch could you suggest to Andy that T? throw a Promo copy towards ‘Total Guitar’ (Magazine) - I’ve never seen any of T?’s previous albums being rated in their ‘New Releases’ section of Total Guitar and they do on more often than not rate some pretty good albums, yet I never see them rate a T? album during it’s release period. I know Andy’s done a few interviews for them in the past…

In my knowledge, that is the first french review of crooked timber…and the result is not very good. 4/10 only!
With my poor english I can’t translate this review, but in summary the reviewer thinks:
- Good rhythmic session
- No melody
- Leader voice is soapy
- The album is boring
- Only 2 good songs : Magic Mountain (because Andy doesn’t sing!!!) and Exils
That’s all, but in my opinion that is the reviewer who is rubbish!

BUT, the leader voice is soapy? I really don’t have a clue what ‘soapy’ would mean.
