Crooked Timber B-Sides

#

Started by Eyesore

One of the best things about Therapy? in the past were their b-sides. Times have changed, singles have been deemed unimportant, bands have gone digital, and so on. But fans still love the b-side. And since Therapy? were at once a band that recorded a lot of them, is there a chance we’ll see any for this album, whether on a physical single or a digital EP, like Rain Hits Concrete?

Thanks!

The band mentioned recording B-Side material during the sessions for Crooked Timber. Interestingly, Enjoy the Struggle is slated for a single release, so chances are good. :)

Rain Hits Concrete E.P. was a great E.P. but digital only release was a fuckin’ jip, like.

I think digital only is a blessing in disguise in a way, cus tbh spitfire might not have financed a physical e.p but we still got to hear the songs.

Thing is, look at CD Singles. Do you see very many? They’re a great promo, but how many shops are going to stock them at this juncture. Digital sucks, but it’s the only real way around it.

some physical copies should be made available through a bands record company via their website shop at the very least.

wollies stocks the top 40, but its dead, and at therapy? could easily get a top 40 single, only actual bands release fisical singles apart from the xfgactor winner eaach chanukah

Zavvi stocks CD singles, that’s also dead.

There is nowhere that sells CD singles in a prominent way, say in chart formation, anymore, so it’s a hard one.
Would a limited-edition release be counted by ChartTrack et al?

Actually, of all places, I found an Isis single in Zavvi, Cork!

So that’s what leads me to believe it could be feasible.

Also mixed some b-sides for the single (which will be download only until i hear otherwise) and they’re sounding kicking.
We’ve still to decide what/how many would be included as part of the bundle but “Don’t Try” is sounding particularly good…

That’s from myspace.

They should take pre-sale orders through this website for a fans only “real” CD version of their future singles.

And they should make it retrospective for the previous download only releases also!

Wishful thinking! Eh…???

Good to know that there will be b-sides. I hope to hear some original material released as B-sides rather than some covers.. But then again almost every cover T? made kicks ass so.. can’t wait!

That retro single download idea is good, but imagine the amount of shite involved in licensing that much material from Universal.
