Gotta love Fantasy Bag & Prison Breaker - great tunes.
I’m not too keen on Skinning Pit, though the bridge part (“you do as you’re told and tell your friends you fell”) is classic Therapy?
Potato Junkie is good but I’ve been over-exposed to it at gigs through-out the years.

Skinning Pit is great, I really like the track DLC as well. I love the atmosphere on the album and production. The bass and drums are quality.

A twisted classic! Love the weird off-kilter vibe throughout, imo T? are best when they focus on that kind of thing rather than their comedy heavy metal leanings, Crooked Timber being a big step in the right direction!

Pleasure Death and Babyteeth still available from Southern on CD/LP:

Thank god someone else agrees. I thought I was going mad.

It’s such a quality album, doesn’t deserve the beating it gets on here.

Love it!

Agreed.

I actually rate OCFA more highly than I used to, but for me there’s a fair bit of filler on there.
Shameless is still my fave T? album.

Agreement over favourite albums does not make for a clinical diagnosis. :p

i dont think it is, i dont rate shameless as much as most of the others, but i think it edges out SPYF, im just not keen on what they did, sounded rushed. its a great album mind, and (sorry guys) god kicks is probably the worst song theyve ever done.

I would go as far as saying “Suicide Pact - You First” is classic Therapy?, more so then in the sense of “Troublegum” and its the closest to the “Babyteeth/Pleasure Death”-era sound too. Even Andy has said TG isn’t the typical T? sound.
It has the melodies, riffs, dark and insane lyrics/themes. The sound is rough, twisted, deranged, manic… the bastard child of Therapy? albums before.

“Not the critics favourite album of ours… not the biggest fucking selling record. But personally… its one of the best things we’ve ever done in my eyes…” (something like that…!)

So true! :)

I agree that albums like Pleasure Death and SPYF are “more” Therapy? than Troublegum.

I listened to Troublegum yesterday for the first time in absolutely ages and whilst it undoubtedly has some great moments, it doesn’t match up to some of their other records, both before and since.

Hey, if I had made Troublegum and was faced with the criticism that I had done better albums still, I think I could live with that!

Oh yeah, Suicide Pact and Babyteeth are always the albums that Andy refers to as “classic” T?. And I think he’s fucking spot on!

Meat Abstract, Punishment Kiss, Animal Bones, Innocent X, Dancin with Manson, Wall of Mouths, Jam Jar Jail, Hate Kill Destroy, Big Cave In, Little Tongues First, Ten Year Plan, Sister… come on now! :-D

Isnt it a nice position to be in, having made albums like all those mentioned. Fuck, so many bands just have one sound, we are lucky to have a band of our own like therapy? who give us food for thought every fucking time! Its such a rush waiting on a new T? album, will i like it? will it be better than? will it have good singing on it?lol!!!! Therapy? since 1993 when i first saw you and your still there for me. i love you.
