I got a promo from ebay delivered today and just listened to it properly for the first time (also waiting on Play for the original).
Sounds awesome, loving the drums and bass particularly. I Told You I Was Ill, and Enjoy The Struggle stand out for me on first listen, but unlike everyone else I’m not sure about Magic Mountain (the name reminds me of a Mario Kart track!) because it seems a little out of place on the album as a whole.
Think I’m gonna love it, but my only slight problem is I really liked it on the first listen and normally when that happens I end up getting bored of the album fairly soon. But to be honest I don’t see that happening. It is T? after all!
More Uk gigs please! Bristol if possible…

I just logged into Play to check on my order. It hasn’t been shipped but the price has dropped down to £8.95. That’s not bad considering it was £10.99 when I first ordered it. I’m confused though. Do they put the funds back into your account? Or do they hold off taking payment until it has actually been shipped?

After listening to the Promo CD for a couple of weeks I bought the ‘official’ one in the local HMV ( Blanchardstown Shopping Centre ) yesterday.
Top marks for the in-store promotion of it , not only very visible on the new releases wall , but the shop has one rack that is pointed at the entrance to immediately catch your eye for the most popular new releases and there it was inbetween U2 and Lady Gaga !!!!!
Also , at 11.99 euros a lot cheaper than most other new releases there.
The tinkly guitar effects intros on some songs somehow reminded me of Korn’s Freak On A Leash. Will leave it in the middle if that’s a compliment or not :)

I juist bought the album. I have to hear it a few times before giving a opinion. Most of the Therapy?-albums you have to hear a few times before you get into it. A quick listening tells me it’s a pretty heavy album.

I’ve just realised what’s really being asked, here, and I think it’s a very personal subject that should only be discussed with a qualified doctor.

my cd arrived this morning and it sounds a hell of a lot better than the mp3 i downloaded a couple of weeks ago.
forced girlfriend and baby to sit down and listen to it all the way through. i know my son liked it as he picked up the cd case and put it in his mouth. my girlfriend thinks it quite good too even though she didn’t taste it.

I already listened to it 3 times yesterday. This is a real metal-album. It’s their heaviest till ever made. No chorus-tracks like we used to know, just heavy, no compromises. That’s what Therapy? makes a great band. Maybe you have to listen a few times to get into their new album-sound, but once you’re in it’s just great.

the fact that the medical world still refers to it as “banana dick syndrome” doesn’t really help us sufferers much.
help sufferers. Doesn’t help sufferers. No idea how that stray “us” ended up in that sentence.

Cunting Amazon! “1 to 3 weeks dispatched time”!!! Of course I noticed this AFTER paying for it. This is a new album, out this week, and the best they can do is 1 to 3 weeks!!! Bastards!
They’ve obviously completely unestimated the demand for the CD, it’s at 126 in music at the mo (the new Mastodon, however, at 92, is in stock)…

Should be a given that it will turn up on the day of release but sad to say these days it’s a pleasant surprise rather than a reliable fact.
