Out here in So Cal, USA, you can get an Absolut-ly mindfucking greyhound (Absolut + grapefruit juice) for about 8 bucks at my local haunt. On Mondays, they’re half off! I’ll get my coat. :-D

20 quid for a bottle of vodka under this new plan, pah, that’ll just mean i’ll go out less but when i do go out still drink the same amounts anyway, stupid clueless politicians.

That’s their plan Grant - it won’t stop you from going out - it limits how often you go out, and if you do go out regularly, your more likely to spend less.
I thought it’d be the supermarkets and their cheap alcohol (Tesco Value vodka / Lager) they’d be clamping down on.

Heathen !

For a good bottle of wine I’d happily get the wallet out , it’s the one guilty pleasure I afford myself.
40 quit for a very good Pinot Noir from NZ’s Marlborough County ? No problem at all.
