It’s one of their best, in my opinion. Sonically it’s just immense. They did say it focuses more on rhythm rather than melody, but it seems even when he’s trying to avoid it, Andy’s great sense of melody is really apparent. His voice sounds really good. The rhythm section is fucking huge. I’d recommend you don’t even think about listening to this album at a socially acceptable level or in headphones the first time you hear it. Just whack it in your CD player and turn it up really loud. There’s isn’t one dud on this album. They’re all equally as rocking. My personal favourites are Enjoy The Struggle, Clowns Galore, I Told You I Was Ill, Somnambulist and Bad Excuse For Daylight. I can’t really say much more than it’s an absolutely brilliant album in my opinion, I just hope everyone else loves it too. It deserves it!

Oops, forgot to mention Exiles. Maybe I should just say I don’t have a favourite. It’s so hard to choose!

Most satisfying album since High Anxiety for me. That sounds like faint praise but most therapy? albums have to grow on you and i think troublegum, babyteeth, high Anxiety and Crooked Timber grabbed me immediately. :)

I shall let you all know once I’ve opened a bulky brown thing, take the wrapping off, opened up the cover, taken the disc out and put it in my stereo.

If it arrives that is

I’m glad you guys like the album (I agree!) but we don’t need another discussion about it, as we already have a couple here, here and here.
