Yep, there’s a BBC recording of that Belfast gig (19/12/93) in the trading world - about 55 minutes long or so. It has ‘Alternative Ulster’ at the end.
Is that the performance were ricky warwick comes on stage and andys guitar string brakes mid song? i have a recording of just that track on a cd somewhere.

The one with Ricky Warwick was 1995. I don’t recall Andy breaking a string though - maybe you’re thinking of when they played “Another girl, another planet” with Pete Perrett in ‘94?

Is that a cartoon about a chef who lives in a dustbin, mildly based on the Phil Silvers Show? ;)

Alan you are correct about this, I listened to this show today strangely enough and Andy does mention about breaking a string during the song.

I’ve also lost count of the number times Robert Fields has reminded me he was the first person in Scotland to book Pearl Jam, it’ll be his epitath most likely. :p
I was speaking to Donald MacLeod last night… Apparently it was Donald that booked Pearl Jam for that show. Robert Fields worked for him at the time, then got hold of the contract and added his name to it after he left.:)

@Epitome: Personally, I’d go with the Athens gig first. But of course it depends on the set list you wish to view!
@everyone: is the audience a bit quiet/polite/static at the Paradiso gig, or is the way it has been shot misleading?

I’d have to say that the video quality for Athens is better but the audio is better for the Paradiso, and the Paradiso gig is much longer.

The one that I watch the most is the Paradiso gig. It’s a good show, and Andy’s wastedness adds a certain amount of fun to it. You’ll find yourself shouting “take a fuckin’ drink of water” at the screen, but he never does - or does he?

The 3 bootlegs that I was sent are now up on the site, thanks again to Tom for them. The FLAC copy of the last one should be uploaded by 9 but it’s already there as mp3. I’ll probably be listening to them tomorrow night since I can’t really afford the gig at the ABC2, can’t remember the last time they played Glasgow and I wasn’t there. Maybe some nice person will bootleg it for me.
