30,000 isnt even silver. 60,000 is - OCFA went silver.

I think Gold is 100,000

and Platinum 300,000+

Mastodon have sold 125,000+ of Crack The Skye and that’s considered a good amount.

I think T? have sold 2 million copies of all their records combined.

Maybe 30,000 is considered silver in Europe? Andy’s message said they’d sold that in Europe, not just the UK.

30 000 albums is platinum, definately (at least that’s what counts in Belgium since 2007, before 2007 you had to sell 40.000 records for platinum), but they sold 30.000 records in EUROPE so I think these figures count for the whole of Europe. UK figures might be different, but of Belgium it’s definately Platinum. :-)

Yes I’m sure, Belgium is a small country I don’t know if that could be a reason…
I suppose these figures count for the whole of Europe (but I’m not sure of that) if not, then this might mean they sold 30.000 records in Belgium only :p

The thing I find most reassuring about Crooked Timber is that I have seen it for sale in plenty of shops, whereas some of the previous albums have been very hard to come by.

What I find reassuring is the HMV I bought it in was how many were in stock the first they and how quickly they seemed to sell. There was onlt one left on the shelf for a while, and they’ve now been restocked.

Thats a good start given the shape the music industry is in these days, i hope they sell enough to live on and continue recording and touring.
