Kind of feel he has a much greater legacy than Michael Jackson and yet so much less press. A shame.

If its true that jacko has three alnbums worth of material in the vault - they should get released. It might go some way to helping his tarnished image.
RIP LES PAUL. Your Guitar is awesome yet so maddeningly expensive :(

Its ironic, when you think of it. Les developed a recording method that has been followed, practiced and work on since but no one mentions that - only the guitar he created. Will the likes of, say, P Diddy, Pete Waterman, Mutt Lange or any producer for good or shit pay tribute?
In a word
NOPE
RIP Les

he invented multitrack recording, its annoying me tat everyones crediting him for inventing the electric guitar, he diddnt invent it, he did invent the way everyone records music though which i actually think is more of an achievement

The frying pan was Leo Fender… Les Paul made “The Log” it was an acoustic guitar that he cut up stuck a 2x4 in the middle then put pick ups on. Fender basicly came up with the technology but Les Paul actually refined it and made the first commerially availible solid guitar from it. I did a paper on it all in uni.
