I was there!!!

Tonight was 10 years (or was it 11??) in the making for me. Ever since I tried (and failed miserably) to get tickets for the Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms in ‘98 or ‘99 I’ve been wishing I’d actually managed to see T? live. And now I have…

…and I’m bloody glad I pulled my finger out of whatever orifice it was in and got myself there. Great night, everything I always thought it would be.

My ears are ringing too. Not sure how long that’ll take to go away but I don’t really care too much. Just reminds me what a good night it was.

So then, time to see where else I might be able to catch them on this tour. I’m not waiting 10 years again.

Hmm, do those people get paid to write reviews like that? It didn’t really say an awful lot about the gig, apart from that it was indeed a gig and that there was a diverse crowd. My writing skills are pretty awful but even I could do better than that!

Other thread closed so copy & paste here.

Was an awesome gig and as soon as I heard Opal Mantra I knew it was going to be a stormer! I said to Judge Dredd in the boozer before that I had been listening to a lot of the older & B-side T? stuff lately so I really enjoyed the trip down memory lane.
If I had to pick holes I would like to have heared the extended version of Rust but then I doubt everybody would have enjoyed it as much as me & also added Stalk & Slash to the set list, any chance of adding it for Southend? :D
I was at the front in the middle of the stage, to the left of Judg Dredd and also Petri & Kati, nice to meet you guys.
The mosh was one of the most friendly I have seen at a T? gig, still bouncy but if anyone slipped on that úbber slippery floor there was more than enough hands helping you up again, nice to see :)
There was a young lady to the left of me that I was trying to stop getting squashed, a few times she tried to hit someone & landed her elbows into my face, being a gent I asked who she was trying to whack & I’d keep an eye on them to save her hitting me & she spat something like “stop f*£$%!g talking to me”” hopefully she is on the board so that I can publicly say:

MY GOD YOUR SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE WHEN YOUR ANGRY!

Looking forward to Chinnerys on 1st November o/

I wish! I’d happily write a review about any one of the gigs if I could actually go :(

Ohhh, trust me, I know! I’m not too clued up on Ricky Warwick, I’ll be honest, but to say T? are samey is just downright dumb as far as I’m concerned. I’d challenge anyone to pick out any 2 T? albums and tell me that they’re samey. The ;) was for the comment you left by the way.

Surely a professional journalist should correctly use “its” and “it’s”?

Just a thought…

Judge Dredd: I´ll add sum of the good ones to my my Facebook profile are U a memember on FB? Also I´ll add sum clips to Utube when I find time to that and clear them out of my camera. Now off to bed, goodfuckinnight to everyone!

finally got to a computer before leaving off back to Finland. What can I say: Brighton was excellent but the Garage gig was MAGNIFICENT!!!Fuckin A! And who said that the people in London just stand still and dont rock; the audience (at least in the front) went totally bananas many times during the gig, hey London YOU ROCK!!
Nice to meet people from the WOM and all the others who we talked with at Brighton and London.
Thank you Therapy? and crew! Hopefully we see you soon again!

Agreed. It’s] almost as though the review doesn’t deserve its allotted space online. :-)

but he’s not irish country and western, and only his new album belfast confetti has the whole ‘irish’ thing to it as its meant to be an album based on his experience of ireland, his other 2 albums are a completly different style and i’d hardly say the likes of running free, free and easy, ace of spades and wild and wonderful are country and western, and as for being ‘samey’ have you listened to any of his albums or are you just basing your opinion on a short support set you’ve seen him play that included only songs from one of his albums if you exclude the almighty tracks and covers?
