Summer Festivals 2010

Iron Maiden, Iggy & The Stooges, Anthrax, Slayer, Rammstein, Alice Cooper, The Cult, Motley Crue all signed up for Sonisphere…

Rumours that the bill might include the ‘big four’ with Metallica doing European Sonisphere dates…

Wonder what Download can pull out of the hat to try and top that?

Heh, I will make the obvious comment - you should get married at Download :-)

That Olgas Rock festival in Germany is a long time away but already I like the sound of it.
In Oberhausen which is close enough to the Dutch border so I can give my parents a visit and it’s free so more money for the beer fund !
Plus a good mate lives down the road in Duisburg so that’s a place to kip sorted as well.

If Carlsberg did festivals…

Yes. And there’s no need to buy confetti - just call on the moshers with dandruff issues.

I think I might give the festivals a miss next year : (

Im tired of watching bands being wheeled out to play greatest hits sets for 40 mins. Hopefully Sign, Mew, T? OK Go, A, Wildhearts, Atreyu, Blakfish, He Is Legend and all the other bands im into at the mo will do their own gigs which works out more expensive but is more fun to watch.

OK, I’ve been quite nice, polite and happy recently - no ranting posts but thankyou GBMB you’ve just re-awakened my hatred!! RAMMSTEIN - what a godawful load of old shit - why are kids buying this dirge? A perverted old man singing garbled toss over simplistic second hand Rob Zombie riffs…shocking! I heard Du Hast today and fuck me…i can knock up a better song than that in 20 mins I shit you not its so bad.

i wonder if metallica will do download too seeing as theyre doing the festivals (again) this summer, it must be like the 6th year in a row theyve done a british festival now, surely they’d be better off doing just one uk festival every 3 years or something as it would make them more of a draw, i have never seen metallica but im fed up of seeing that theyre playing here every year, and they’ve been doing arena dates recently as well.
