Andy and Fyfe were watching a football match, and they saw a player named Archie Gemil. Andy though he looked kinda funny, so he tried to draw his face. The result was the well-known ‘gemil’. So all the stories about a 16th century demon or something are just bullocks.

Renton has just come off heroin and he has sex for the first time in ages, and he describes the orgasmic feeling as the best he had felt ‘since Archie Gemil scored against Holland in 1978’. This was a great moment in Scottish soccer heritage when an ugly ginger shortarse scored a wicked goal against one of the best teams in the world at the time during the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. We still never got to the second f****** round though, and we never have(YET!).

His son Scott Gemil is still playing somewhere in England, but he is shite as I can’t even remember who he plays for!

So now you know…
