Started by Ronald

Ok, I’ll be up for my 7th marathon on APril the 11th and I would like to fill my MP3 player with new music so if you have got a certain song in mind of which you think it might make me go faster I would like you to post it in this topic, thanks in advance!

Do you really want songs that make you go faster when you’re doing a marathon? A lot of songs with a slow, even rhythm might be better, keep you well paced :-)

And in that respect, surely none better than “At My Job” by Dead Kennedys. Or, sticking with a Jello Biafra theme, you could go with the hypnotic “Time To Melt” by Lard, which is half an hour long, so put that on repeat a few times and you’re all set!

I’m *hoping* to run my 2nd marathon on 4th May, but I’m falling behind in my training… furthest I’ve ran so far this year has been 9 miles :-/

Last time I went for a really long run I was listening to Evil Empie by RATM - I’d strongly recommend that. I’m going to try and run 10 miles tomorrow night and listen to the first RATM album as I do so :-)

“I like you so much better when you’re naked” is suitably encouraging when trying to get in shape.

Ended a few 10ks with the theme from Doctor Who. Raiders of the Lost Ark works too.

G’luck!

Oh, and Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. It’ll make you run quicker, trust me!

Thanks for the advice, I put on that Terrorvision song and some live stuff from Daft Punk on: I saw this guy with red hair running as well and imagined him to be Rick Astley, but that only made me laugh. The Doctow Who theme is a good one as well, gonna look for that one as well!

Thanks
