Aenima has way too many. Lateralus ones all work within the flow of the album. 10,000 Days would work just as well without it’s segues.

I agree with Aenima having too many, yeah, and also the worst from any of their albums. I like them on Lateralus and 10,000 Days though. And having said that, Aenima has the best production and some of their strongest songs, so it’s still just as good an album. I feel with each album since then they’ve got more and more polished and lost something along the way (though still good).
I hear they’re working on a new album either now or soon. And a new A Perfect Circle album too. Don’t suppose either will be the double album I’d like to hear, but I’ll be more than happy with a good single album :-)

Tool are cunts for adding filler shite between proper tracks.
Pisses me off no end.
They’d be the worst band in the world to do a double album.
And Slipknot can fuck off too.
Dream Theater’s ‘6 Degrees of Inner Turbulance’ is pretty decent double album.
Only has 6 tracks, even though the last one is in 8/9 parts.
Judas Priest’s ‘Nostradamus’ was good. But not great.

I think both discs could have been stand alone albums in their own right !
Are rare example of a double album that doesnt have loads of filler !
