I like the idea of a complete album being played live, I think they did a lot better albums than Troublegum, but it sure is the best choice for a festival.
On the other hand, I don’t see them play any another album in it’s entire (unless they’d add some Troublegum tracks) …

Loving the mistake on the Sonisphere website:

Irish-noiseniks THERAPY? will be making history at Knebworth this year by playing their classic album “Troublegum” in its entirety to commemorate their 20-year anniversary, at their only UK show of 2010. Undoubtedly the most commercially successful album in the band’s career so far, the album sold in excess of ¾ Million albums, reaching number 5 in the UK Charts and featuring no less than five top 40 singles. Having just completed the recording of their first official live album – captured at three shows at Londons Water Rats on March 29th, 30th, and 31st – set for release this summer, fans will have a chance to see the real deal at Knebworth, as the chart topping three-piece work their way through classics such as “Screamager”, “Nowhere”, “Trigger Inside” and “Die Laughing” at this exclusive performance.

So if they completed three nights at the water rats, its not their only UK Show of 2010!

Yeah, spotted that mistake as well :)

As for Troublegum in it’s entirety, does this mean a guest appearance from Martin? He’ll be needed to play Unrequited, I guess.
I can’t see Therapy? having more than 45 minutes stage time, so it will probably be Troublegum and nothing else, how strange!

I’m affraid, if they ever need a guest cellist, they’ll have to look for someone else but Martin… I don’t think he’ll be happy to play one song with them anymore after being asked to leave the band…

I can fully understand that Troublegum would be the album that would make most sense to play the whole of but I can’t help wishing that it was Semi-Detached since I’ve seen them do most of the Troublegum tracks quite a few times now and only seen Church of Noise performed a couple of times and I think Lonely, Crying Only once.

Or Infernal Love or Suicide Pact but that would be even more unlikely.

Obviously it will still be amazing to see though!

I thought that too, but it was 6 years ago and even then it was pretty amicable, so I think he might do it if asked.
He could play second guitar on some other songs to make it worth his time!

It’s kind like British Steel 30th Anniversary shows and 20th of Rust in Peace. ı think both these classics will re-release with selective performances. But honestly ı don’t care ıt’s not a catchy year name for Troublegum, ıt’s a direct punch and not a wine like album anyway; ıf they release it with remastered or non remastered Troublegum, ı will buy it without thinking twice.

You could be right!
I can envisage a Troublegum re-issue with a bonus ‘live at Sonisphere’ cd(dvd?) with a few rare studio out-takes, new liner notes etc.

I doubt I’ll make it, so a recording would be fantastic. If it was part of an expanded re-release of Troublegum then that would make it about the sixth time I’ve bought that album.

Sonisphere easily has the best line up rock festival wise in the uk this year. im tempted to go to it, it has that sort of line up you could have easily seen early to mid 90s but is quite a rarity in 2010.

Kossu: Sonisphere was indeed at Knebworth last year, i only live 15 min drive away and have been to Knebworth Park many times mushroom picking (you can just walk in from the back when there’s no events on). Didn’t go to Sonisphere last year, have been debating it this year as the missus REALLY wants to see Skunk Anansie (and me the Stooges) but last time i looked there were no day tickets and the weekend is £160 with camping (not a problem if you’re coming from Scandinavia i imagine).
Might not go this year, but any Wombles who are around either b4 or after the festi are welcome for a BBQ.

Balls, just noticed that the site originally had two German shows listed for July 30/31, which meant Therapy? would play Sonisphere on Aug 1 and now I see it’s changed to one German show on July 30, Knebworth on July 31 and another German show on Aug 1. As I can only make Aug 1 it looks like I’ll be missing out on this one then. For shame!

You’re nuts Petri! ;-) I’d love to go, but renovations… I hope they do some other full album shows like that, I love it!

Don’t know about Unrequited, but Femtex and Lunacy Booth will be sorted - as Skunk Anansie are playing earlier that day. I recall Skin did female vocals previous for T? at some live shows back in the day.

A little bit surprised they are not doing Babyteeth/Pleasure Death live and saving Troublegum for 2014! Unless they are saving BT for next year…

I’d imagine T? will do more than just Troublegum songs if they are going on stage at 22.00? Wouldn’t that be a tent headlining slot?

I looked up the T? day on the tour dates page here - and it has the time on that page. I went to Skunk Anansie’s website to see what day they are playing. Admittedly, I made an assumption about their stage time. Their set could feasibly overlap with T?’s, but I’d be surprised.
