Terrorvision are back!

#

Started by Epitome (Dave)

Don’t think there are many Terrorvision fans on here, but I’ve been listening to them quite a bit lately - almost prophetically, it turns out, as today on MySpace they announced that they will be recording a new album later this year.

Cool, I say.

Course, that’s the one I’ve mostly been listening to recently. What’s not to like? :-)

Bloody hell, a new album! They’ve been gigging on the back of many old songs for a long time. Will be interesting to see what they do! They’re playing round here in the summer so I reckon I may go and check them out. Can’t beat a bit of doowapping on a summer’s eve!

Aaaah! Well worth buying in that case! :-)

Have any of you checked out Terrorvision Tony’s other band Laika Dog? They’re good too.

I agree with this 100%. Terrorvision were awesome up to that album and Tequila was particularly irritating. However, they were pretty fun to see live so I’m still looking forward to seeing them at Sonisphere (presuming I manage to get a ticket) regardless of some shit tracks. Let’s just hope this new album is an improvement on Shaving Peaches.

The only memorable song on that album (other than the shite tequila) was Josephine, which was a belter.

I didn’t even bother with the album they released after that.

Agreed on the live comment though - I saw em a couple of times and they were great to watch

It was their fault for getting the uta saints to help them with the album. Regular urban surviors was always my favourite. They were a bit hit and miss at times but yes fun live. I remember seeing them having a fight with nick and josh from qotsa when I was with the seps camp at the big day out.. Nice lads but can’t throw a punch to save their life.

Josephine was great, but When I Die is one of my favourite Terrorvision songs - awesome :-)

I love Terrorvision, they’re great live - really looking forward to hearing the new album - better not sound anything like Laika Dog though - they’re shocking.

It’ll be really good to hear some new songs - I’ve been to Terrorvision’s last ever gig about 5 times now, so that set is getting a bit old.

I remember reading about that…was there a story behind it, or was it just some drunken fisticuffs?

If i remember they were supposed to be sharing a dressing room, and some of the Terrorvision crew moved some of the Queens stuff out of the portakabin. They took offense and fistycuffs ensued.

The queens also drank all their rider. It was a weird day all round as marylin Manson want the whole back stage area cleared so he could use the shitter but most bands refused…

Surely if he wanted the backstage area cleared he should have just gone for the dump, if he’s as evil as he says he is… cause and effect and all that?

Good to Go was very mixed - song great songs but some of their worst too.

Coincidentally, was listening to How To Make Friends… this morning, so quite pleased about this news. They were my 2nd most seen band back in the day, although I think the Offspring are probably there now.

Marilyn should have just gone in front of everyone and then started throwing it around, that would have cleared the area,
