This is the worst squad England have had in my life time (since 1980). Capello seems to do quite well with them, but I don’t think there’s much chance of them getting to the final… but who knows, they should definitely get through the first round (ideally winning all 3 games), then if they get some easy teams in the next rounds and have a bit of luck…

Rooney to get sent off for thinking he can swear at every official and get away with it (try it in Rugby Wayne, see what happens), England to go out in the 1st knockout round and the media to blame everything except the players.
Sounds about normal then.
Oh and Italy to win by being boringly solid.

Not really, but it’ll be interesting to see how far they get - especially if they face England at some point. I’m not a football fan but I would watch the hell out of that.

Spain to win over Brazil, England will end up in the third place play off against the old enemy (Germany). North Korea, they, along with New Zealand, will be lucky to score a goal (and the North Koreans probably won’t get to see any of it, given ol’ Kim Jong Il has banned any games where they don’t do well…) and the French team sound on the verge of implosion.

Should be entertaining, to say the least!

The heart says Holland but the head says our defense is pretty weak , so will be the round of 16 at best and then home after either another lost penalty-shoot out or the usual in-fighting / any other crash and burn scenario.

My money’s on Spain.

I’m not a fan of football normally, but I do get very involved when the World Cup comes around. By “involved” I mean engrossed in watching it, not that I actually get involved in playing… Mind, if I had kiwi blood in me I reckon I’d be good enough to start for NZ…

The level of sponsorship this time is really getting on my tits though - every single advert has an England World Cup slant to it, regardless of how unsuitable or irrelevant football is to the product. I even saw a local chap on the news cooking World Cup themed curries - a big rectangle plate of white rice with a red cross of tikka masalla over it for England, one that resembled the German flag with three dishes of equally unappetising colours and various other pointless wastes of an otherwise perfectly good curry kitchen.

It’s only a matter of time before someone like Bodyform or Pretty Polly get in on the act and start advertising themselves as the “official” World Cup this that and the other..

Stanna Stairlifts…the Official Old And/ Or Disabled Stair-Getting-Uppy Device of the England World Cup Squad…

And, no, McDonalds, you are NOT a “restaurant”, official or otherwise, you cuntwits.

Yep, they sure are. At my last athletics match, couple of lads from another team had them…

It’s even worse when you can’t play the poxy things properly, I can tell you that!

Even if it was a two horse race you’d never overturn my team “Unsporting Henry”

My favorite is Spain. And I support Holland and Avustralia.
HD suprised me, It creates a weird view pleasure.
I guess we will watch the next tournament at 3D.

Well, can’t be that hard to mock up a replica trophy and present it to the team on their return, wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what they do.

All England’s keepers are shit, it’s their weakest position. I probably would’ve gone with Foster is I was picking the team, but Green would be my 2nd choice. Better than James or Robinson. This doesn’t really matter, but I’m in Canada at the moment, and the Americans are going to be far too smug about it for my liking. I just hope Slovenia beat America and go through instead.
