Train booked :)
Ended up booking an East Coast train that goes to Kings X from Glasgow. £40 quid return. Takes an hour longer each way, but it was 68 quid cheaper than virgin.

£40 return! I’ve got to start booking my trips to scotland more than 2 weeks in advance, cost me £100 return stevenage to ardrossan last time (thought that wasn’t too bad for the distance). Ticketmaster must like you Chr1s, i payed £28 for mine through them (more like £5 booking fee & postage the wankers).

I was expecting about 70 quid from virgin trains. Shit myself when it came up saying £108!!! Just means i’ve got a wee walk from Kings X station to the Euston Travelodge now, after booking the travelodge nearest to Euston station trying to be lazy :D
Just checked my Ticketmaster thingy, and mine was £28 quid too… They must have hidden the “booking fee” price and only told me about the £2.25 for the postage part!!! Fuckers :)

Yeah, if driving from south to north, take the eastern branch of the fork just south of the forum and in those streets to the east there’s usually a parking spot.

Was having a look on the net and found a pub called Bull and Gate which is right next to the Forum. Seems like a good place to meet up for pre gig beers. Says it plays rock and punk all day, has pool tables and Sky. It’s got a venue for gigs in it too, so could be a cool place. Whaddya think? Not that ANY of you’s will be able understand my mad Glaswegian accent of course!! Especially after a few beers. ;)

Anybody ever tried 1 of those? I haven’t, and don’t think i ever will!!! Apparently nice as a dessert with ice cream tho.
Did anyone’s ticket come recorded delivery? I got a card from the post office saying they tried to deliver a recorded delivery package yesterday. I wasn’t expecting it to be recorded and can’t think of anything else it might be. Won’t be able to get to the sorting office to collect it till saturday tho.
