Mine was Troublegum as I heard Screamager first in about 94 and Troublegum came out just after that :)

First T? album was Troublegum because it was cheap and I liked the cover. Somebody nicked that copy a few months later. :(

I’ve got Troublegum cassette at high school but my proper buy is Infernal Love cd. It sounds so good, so i bought cd version of Troublegum and Nurse. I can’t remember my first single but it was probably “Loose”.

I think Troublegum on cassette was my first “new” T? album pretty soon after its release. Was listening to a copied Nurse (with some BT and PD songs added to fill the c90) before that tho.

My first purchase was Nurse in 1996. In that year a friend of mine had lent me some Therapy? Cds and I became addicted. My first purchase on the day of release was the Church of Noise single, followed by Semi-Detached. Semi-Detached was kind of a letdown after the Church of Noise single, because to me especially the b-sides rocked and in my opinion the album didn’t keep the promise. Strangely enough, today I think of this record as a really strong and underrated one, good vocal melodies and good lyrics meeting deeply complected guitar and cello work. The most impressing record at day of release and the following months to me was Suicide Pact.

My first was Troublegum, again I’d first heard of the band because of Screamager & started buying their syuff from that point. Didn’t get Nurse until after Infernal Love was out and didn’t get Baby Teeth or Pleasure Death until 2003…

My first one was Troublegum after seeing the Nowhere video on an Austrian charts show. I was 14 back then and all music I listened to was the charts stuff I taped (Marky Mark, anyone?), I didn’t even have a CD player. Nowhere simply blew me away as I haven’t heard anything similar by this time and I thought: What kind of music is this? I soon figured out that this loud music is generally called Rock n Roll (so the magazines told me), got my parents to buy me a CD player and picked up my first Motorhead album soon after Troublegum. I’m hooked on Rock and Metal since those days and t? are the ones to blame that I spent so much money on albums and shows :-) I think I told Andy on various occasions that t? somehow changed my life, but again: Thank you guys!!

when i was at school my mate johnny who was a bit of a musical guru, and well into drumming (he had a one-to-one with chad smith of the the chillis drum lesson,he won it in a competition!) was always buying up new cassettes, he came in with babyteeth one day as he heard about how shit hot the drummer was, then he came in with pleasure death so i borrowed them and copied them, loving the darkness, drumming and the use of the samples etc
first bought nurse on casssette when it came out, then TG and played the cassette to its near death, then IL on cassette the day it was released and loved it, when SD was released i was at first dissappointed and kinda went off T? for a bit and was straying more towards mansun and metallica
now i would say SD is one of my fave T? albums

Ive actually had 2 ‘new’ moments thinking about it. After IL I moved on to other bands and left t? alone because i didn’t like Church Of Noise and also bought a Metal Hammer CD with a really weak indie live version of Screamager on it that made me think T? had lost their edge because Andy was singing it in a really nice voice rather than his Lord Of Rock Drawl : )

Then i saw SP:YF a few years later and bought it on a whim and loved them again. Even though SP:YF sounded a lot like they had been committed to an asylum, lobotomised and allowed to play with instruments for 10 minutes a day - the result was genius and ive been back ever since!
