“Jägermeister’s ‘Ice Cold in Birmingham’ event presents a blistering six band line-up featuring Skindred, Therapy?, Rolo Tomassi, Yashin, The Treatment and more at O2 Academy Birmingham on Monday 31st October (Halloween).
Reggae-influenced rock band Skindred will headline this special event in the Midlands. Once described as “one of the most fierce front-men in all of rock”, lead singer Benji Webbe certainly knows how to put on a show.
“This show may be on Halloween but to us its more like Christmas has come early .To get the opportunity to see one of the best live acts in Britain, Therapy?, plus Rolo Tomassi who are awesome, plus Yashin and The Treatment all for free and for us to headline; we cant wait! “ says Skindred drummer Arya Goggin.
Alternative metal legends Therapy? return to O2 Academy Birmingham for an enthralling set of old favourites and brand new material from their forthcoming thirteenth album, ‘A Brief Crack Of Light’, which is due for release in February 2012.
Up and coming Glaswegian post-hardcore band Yashin have proved themselves to be a thrilling live band following their epic Download Festival appearance and a string of sold-out headline shows all over the country. Sheffield’s finest ‘mathcore’ band, Rolo Tomassi are also on the bill and fresh from sets at this summer’s Sonisphere, Tramlines Festival and a European tour. They will be tearing up the stage with an aural assault on the senses.
Five-strong outfit, The Treatment might be tender in years, but the Cambridge rockers will bring their low-slung riffs and some deeply classic grooves to the billing.
All of the bands performing at ‘Ice Cold in Birmingham’ are part of the JägerMusic programme, which supports both new and established signed and unsigned bands from across the UK.
Tickets for Jägermeister ‘Ice Cold in Birmingham’ are FREE and exclusively available from metalhammer.co.uk and classicrock.co.uk from Monday 25th September 2011, max 2 per person – over 18s only. VIP ticket competitions will be running on jagermeister.co.uk”
