i was wanting to know if anyone could enlighten me on a demo tape i have it has recordings by evil priest and therapy? from 1989 - is evil priest what they called themselves before Therapy?? . the therapy? songs include skyward, punishment kiss bloody blue, S.W.T and one that sounds like stop it your killing me with different lyrics. the evil priest songs sound a bit like slayer but it is definately not andy singing.

Well those tracks are from the Meat Absract Demo tape (and 30 seconds of silence).
Are you saying there is those 4 tracks, plus the one that sounds like Stop it you Killing me (Body OD?), plus more tracks by who ever Evil priest is?

Does this tape have an inlay card? Is it original or a copy?

And are you the guy who tried to sell the demo tapes on ebay a few months back? Lets hope not, I believe there is a lot of angry feeling towards that guy on this board!

As for the evil priest recordings, it was a band that michael had before therapy? the suicidepact.com site mentions them in the ‘crew’ section if you wanna know more.
and i am not the tape salesman you mentioned

Rudeboy, I’m not aware of Evil Priest making any recordings. What’s the sound like? Is it demo quality? Does it sound like it’s been done on a cheap recorder in someones garage? ‘Cos if the quality is very good, then it’s more than likely not Evil Priest but some other metal band that someone recorded on the tape pretending to be them.

I find it hard to believe that another band would take the time and money to impersonate a pre-Therapy? band. Dash off an email to Therapy?’s hotmail address and see what they have to say.

Brendon, I meant that someone could have just recorded Slayer or some other metal band (more than likely a much lesser known band) onto the tape and said it was Evil Priest. Sorry for being a bit ambiguous in my last post! I doubt too that someone would actually record something with a band and pass it off as Evil Priest!! Especially since, Evil Priest were total pants by all accounts!!

nah, its definately the genuine evil priest and it sounds like its been recorded on a 4 track recorder, although the sound quality is quite good.
1st demo is entitled ‘hear no evil’ from 1989 and the songs are- intro, last farewell, evil priest and Eine 2 wel.
The second one is ‘Hate net’ from 1990 and the song list is- soul sucker, hate net and day seven.
i’ll e mail the T? address and hopefully find out if these recordings are a rarity.
