Wall of Mouths

Well, they can’t make everybody happy, right? I love the album, but I don’t like SP-YF. You can’t expect a band that makes 8 totally different sounding (full) albums to satisfy every single one of us.
And they haven’t changed a bit, they still hate the ‘rock star bullshit’, and they like personal contact with their fans, which isn’t something many bands do. But I guess you should have been in Zottegem last July to be convinced…

first thing i was wondering as well was where the gemil has gone to ? !
i expected something more ’ harder ’ but i really like it though.
the tour will come…and we will fuckin’party !! :-)

Hey Myk, you really must be shameless to say such a thing. The new album really kicks ass and is not inferior to the other T? albums. The only advice I can give T? is: Keep up the good work guys!!

Am I the only person who thinks SPYF is the best album made ever by any band anywhere let alone Therapy?, My friends seem to think I am.

i don’t have ‘shameless’ yet… BUT it’s sure i’ll like it: it’s like with your football team: you will love it for the rest of your life, even if it changes players or coach or anything else… isn’t it? so even if the album sounds different, or if the t? logo has changed, doesn’t matter because i just like t?…
..even if i saw live just once in zottegem (only once, but, hey!)..

Springpoes, I know exactly what you mean. When I listened to the album the first one or two times, I had the same feeling. I thought that it was just a good rock album, but nothing ground-breaking.

Well, it still is a rock-album, and it still isn’t ground-breaking, but it’s goddamn fantastic : ) Believe me, some songs will rock you hard, and I’m not talking about ‘Gimme Back My Brain’. My fav tracks so far are ‘Theme From Delorian’, ‘Endless Psychology’, ‘Tango Romeo’ (which has a melody a bit similar to ‘Wall of Mouth’) and ‘Stalk and Slash’. A lot, eh?

Btw, it’s my first post here, so hello me. Introducing myself through music, I own every full album except Nurse, and became a fan during the Troublegum era. However, I like the latter stuff more - I can say that Troublegum is my least favorite Therapy? album (though it’s still good). It’s hard to say which Therapy? is my favorite. Each album has a certain style I love, and yes, this includes Infernal Love and Semi-Detached. I love both of these albums, can’t understand what so many don’t like about them. Especially Infernal Love is undeniably good, a masterpiece IMO. Still I don’t know if it’s my favorite.

I’m from Germany, and will most likely see the band in early November. I’ve never seen them live, so you can imagine that they’re high on my list : )

well,i actually think Myk is right,eventhough,i dont think that
shameless is so bad as i thought the very first time i heard it.
I really like Dance,and maybe some other songs,
but i cant understand their attempt to change a face,
meaning they changed the THERAPY? characteristics
such as gemil and font for what reason?they want to have
this punky old rocknroll thing style,and maybe thats why so many
people like so much the new album. Therapy’s momensts of glory
was nurse -era,with all these brilliant EP’s.their music
was never different,it just evolved,that is clear if you listen to
babyteeth,pleasure death,nurse troublegum,and even infernal love.
and then fyfe left,thats when therapy started to make album
that sounded different from each other.even the lyrics arent
that good as before.,
but anyway you cant have it all,and after all ill see therapy for
the first time this year at Ocean,

I think it’s a pretty disappointing album. Normally with Therapy? records, there’s a few brilliant songs and the rest are good. But this time, there’s a few only good songs and the rest are pretty poor.
The good songs would be Gimme back my brain, Dance, I am the money, Wicked Man, and maybe Theme from Delorean, but the rest I wouldn’t really rate. It seems they’re happy to put out ‘rock n’ roll albums’, and Andy has said this. So, it looks like Therapy?s days of experimenting and coming up with different types of music and original ideas, are over. Hell, in retrospect even ‘Suicide Pact’ sounds original compared to ‘Shameless’…by the way, Suicide Pact has actually started to become one of my favourite albums - never thought I’d say that when I first heard it two years ago!!

I haven’t got it yet, I’ll get it when its released on monday, I’m not expecting to like it instantly. Whenever i get a new album it takes a while for me to get into it. When I first got Semi-Detached I barely listened to it, but now I really like it, it was the same with SP-YF

I just got the cd 2 days ago, as I’m too busy I didn’t listen to it a lot. I think I’ll give the same reaction with SPYF. When I first listened to SPYF, I didn’t understand anything but then it became my fave album. I think SHAMELESS will do the same… but Theme from… is really cool!

I have the cd for a week now and listened to it around 30 times. I just can’t get enough of it. Each time the cd has finished I just hit the play button again. SHAMELESS IS FANFUCKINTASTIC!!!!

Yep, i agree. Just got it yesterday and its fuckin great. This ones for you is awesome. Guitar solos are cool again!
