M- Smart move on not telling the name. I agree that Zack is more lyricaly inclined than Andy. Hell, even David Gaghaun (spelling) of Depeche Mode blows most front men away. M- did you say you were from the Sates?

Quoted from another message: ‘i do think [Zach’s] a better lyricist than andy cairns… i can prove it.’

Now, in the United States at least, proving something requires some sort of objective evidence. How on earth could you ever qualify a statement such as the above? If you would have simply said ‘I feel…’ without the ‘i can prove it.’ there wouldn’t be a problem. But even after Pinhead asked you for proof, you’re unable to come up with anything other than opinion. If you’re going to shoot your mouth off by making such bold statements, you should at least take 5 minutes to build a foundation from something other than subjectivity.

Dave Gahan is a good frontman. Probably one of the best perfomances I’ve seen was Depeche Mode right after Dave’s suicide troubles. I wasn’t even at the performance (I saw it on TV), but even from 5000 miles away you could tell that he was into what he was doing.

cheers,
Brendon

k8 did you read my reply to the pearl jam question?
hey brendon i did say that. what are you trying to prove? I’ll say it again. ’ zack is a better lyricist than andy cairns.’ now if some one asked my why , i’ll give em samples of some lyrics , which is my back up , my ‘proof’ for the opinion i expressed.
you said i said rage is better than therapy? , prove i said that. you cant. i didnt say that. now since you cant prove i said that that means you are full of shit. end of story. heheeheee

Well k8 here it is. Who a better lyricist than zack is? That’s a tough one. I wont
say zack is the best. Here are a few that i think come to stand
in the same line as zack.
Nick Cave is excellent,
Maynard James Keenan from TooL- his lyrics are very deep.
Glenn Danzig once again does a good job with the lyrics.
Ian curtis from joy division- was mind blowing too.
I think some of the early bob dylan stuff- is as good as it can get.
have you ever read the lyrics to masters of war?
I know there are a few more but i cant remember now- henry rollins is good too.
do you know any that are as good?

did you read my pearl jam answer?

M—-Hey! I finally got around to searching out the pearl jam response. *heartbroken*… I really thought they were going somewhere when the first broke out but then eddie vedder kind of sold out with the whole ‘i don’t want to be a rockstar’ thing. Reminds me of Cobain.

So you mean eddie sold out by not selling out as not selling
out was the hip thing to do back then , especially after kurt
didnt want to sell out? and that had he sold out he wouldnt
have sold out because people wouldnt have expected him to sell
out? hmmmmm interesting…
do you know why i said *heartbroken* ?
what did you think about the rest of the great lyricist i put
up?

messiah-rephase your last bit, maybe i’m a little retarded or something but that selling out crap confused the hell outta me.
selling out by not selling out to sell out or whatever.
Keenan of TOOL excellent lyricist - Danzig’s pathetic lyricist - the guy from Vision of Disorder is a great lyricist but i can never remember his name. He writes alot of stuff that is valid for the world today and how fucked up things are getting in the states.
Gregg G. from BAD RELIGION is good too.
G(J)enn from Genitorturers is twisted but good on the psycho demented level.

What the hell is up with this bullshit that the pussy from limpbiscuit fred sonofabitchcocksuckingmotherfucker durst in going to direct a fucking movie with the help of David Fincher?
He needs to get in the way of a sniper’s bullet.

How come T?’s only going to fill in on the Ozzfest tour in Europe and not in the States, that’s a bumfuck deal? We still get fucking Korn but Euro gets T? instead. That pisses me off. Fuck the Ozzfest then.
