another joke that will be lost on the non english people on the message board…ARSE!

Has anyone else ever noticed the messages on the inside of the early vinyl releases? Babyteeth has the messages:
‘Scare the hippies’ and ‘Oops wrong planet’

Nurse has got:
‘May all your dreams be wet ones’ and ‘I have lost my meurbles’

I haven’t got pleasure death, so i don’t know if that has anything on it?

Hey, Evil; a big thank you for the hint! This is just cool! Just checked my records too, and that was just great to find out. By the way, Pleasure Death has ‘parpsta parpsta’ (whatever that may mean) and ‘we have no bananas’. The Caucasian Psychosis 12’ has nothing.. Pity that they stopped with that after pd.

And, satans, my favourite of the week (the week has only just begun, but it’s my fav anyway) is The Moldy Peaches’ debut album! Brilliant! Last week’s (and the week before that one, and the one before that and the one before that one) favourite was Ash’ Free all angels 2CD! Super, and a totally different style than the peaches!!!

cheers

My fav of the last couple of weeks must have been Teenbeat by Travoltas, listening to it just makes me happy! Also superb by the same band is Modern World (thanks for the tip Gie!). And Yesterday Went Too Soon by Feeder is also on heavy rotation. This is of course for a great deal due to the drummer’s dead…

Hey folks.
My favourites of the week are:
1. Eels - Beautiful Freak (quite old one, but great depressive music)
2. Fu Manchu - Eatin’Dust (great stoner rock with ‘huge’ riffs)
3. Therapy? SP - YF (gets even better, after listening to it the 100th time)

and thanks, Shra-Mee…

I’m sure I’ll find it when I have a good hunt around. It’s just that I’ve been moving about several times in the last tweleve months, and it’s probably got stuck in a packing box somewhere… but it’s annoying when you want to listen to an album and can’t find it!

Does anyone else remember Schtum from the 1995 Infernal Love tour (UK)? I’ve had all their singles for years but I finally got round to buying their album this week (for the bargain price of £1.50 I might add) and it’s fantastic.

On the Therapy? front I’m still mostly listening to Shameless, I have to say it’s growing on me now. I found that I needed time to get into it, as I did when Infernal Love came out. Whereas Semi-Detached and Troublegum, for example, I absolutely loved from the very first play. Anyone else found that?

When I listened to Troublegum and Semi-Detached, it was love at first listen! Infernal Love took me a while to grow on me, but after while, I loved it. Still waiting for SP-YF to grow on me though. As for Shameless, I don’t like it more now than when I first listened to it, so my opinion regarding Shameless hasn’t changed.

Aphex?? Oh lucky you! I’m sure, you will enjoy it. I really like this weird stuff. Did you know, that even T? are influenced a little by Aphex Twin? I was doing a telephone interview with Mike Hell McKeegan some month ago (the only time, that i was lucky to talk or meet one member of T? :-( ), and he told me, that T? sometimes try to copy some effects of bands like Aphex and such music….come to daddy!!

Hmm, satanslittlehelper, yeah i definitely love SP. ‘Jam Jar Jail’ and ‘Sister’ are rocking!! But the same for the rest… it is a brilliant album… Perhaps you are my long lost brother… ;-) I’m quite happy that there are other people who like this strange mixture of different music: Weird electronic stuff and loud rock music… By the way: Even ‘Nurse’ was created a lot under the influence of electronic music, I think, just listen to ‘Teethgrinder’ (or the remixes)…
