Back from the Scandinavian tour - April 2002

Hello everyone, here’s a message from Michael about the Scandinavian tour:

Just got back from our tour and on behalf of the band wanted to thank all the fans who made our trip so special. Nevermind the fact it was our first time there in 5 or so years, let alone the fact we had a new stand-in drummer but each gig was very special to us. We had a very warm reception and everyone showed such a passion and love for the band it was very moving.

We have been talking to the promoters who plan to have us back soon and maybe even do a few festivals in the summer. It definately won’t be 5 years until our next tour I can assure you all!

Cheers to everyone in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland not to mention those who travelled from England, Holland, Germany and Poland to see the shows. Special mention also to THE SPITTS, BLAKE, SUBURBAN TRIBE, THE BACKYARD BABIES, JERKSTORE, TURBONEGRO, Biffen and Petra who made our time away from home that little bit easier. We won’t forget it.

Damn, I missed that by a few months. I did my own little Scandinavian tour this summer… Went away for 2 weeks to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen, and Gothenburg.

went to Kiruna at the top end of Sweden vlast December - gets chilly up there, but the whole place was gorgeous. Didn’t see any of Stockholm bar the inside of the airport, but I’m told it’s lovely.

Yeah, it has some very nice architecture and it’s all built on water. I’d like to visit all the little islands around it (well, maybe not all of them) - they seem pleasant. I preferred Copenhagen and Oslo though.

Off to Borneo in just under 5 weeks time, and can’t wait (mainly to get away from work).

Tried to get a cheap ferry deal to Scandanavia earlier this year, but couldn’t find anything that we could afford. Never seen Tpy? outside of the UK though

We flew with Ryanair. The flight there was £35 (£20 before taxes). The flight back was £4 before taxes (£15 after).

Have a good time in Borneo!
