I’m currently in the middle of making my cd’s (I’m on disk 4 now). I think I have something like 117 tracks. All are official releases (including the demos), except for about 6/7 tracks which are on bootlegs … ‘Again & Again’, ‘Alternative Ulster’, ‘Next to You’, ‘Reality’, ‘Bad Reputation’, ‘Close My Eyes’, ‘Sick of You’ … I think that’s it. Anyone got any rare bootleg tracks I don’t?

what’s about Totally Random Man, Auto Surgery, Accelerator (re-recorded), Opal Mantra (it’s non-album track), Bloody Blue, Speedball, Neck Freak (re-recorded)?

Pieter, I have the tracks you mentioned, plus the ones Sascha mentioned (Opal Mantra etc..).

The live tracks are 5 from Japan 93 (Fan Club cassette plus “Knives” from Select magazine cassette), the 3 live tracks in USA 93 (Opal Mantra EP), 6 tracks from UK tour 95 (3 from Loose single, 2 from Misery promo, and “Screamager” from VOX magazine cassette), 2 tracks from Leeds 94 (Die Laughing single), 8 tracks from Holland 95 (Fan Club CD), 2 tracks from Sheffield 99 (Suicide Pact Japanese CD), 2 tracks from Brussels 99 (Hate Kill Destroy single), “Loose” from Boston 96 (Metallurgy 3 comp), 2 tracks from London 98 (Kerrang! CD & Select CD).

Plus I’ve added the Therapy? remixes of “Diable” and “Jonestown Mind”, and Andys guest appearances with Manchild (“Rehab”) and Throat (“Gleason”)

Bootlegs: Next to You, Again and Again, Alternative Ulster, Bad Reputation, Close My Eyes, Sick Of You.

From this 7” on green vinyl only 400 copies have been spread. It was released back in 1996 on Try To Understand - records (cat number TRY002). The two songs (a cover of The Police’s Next To You with Sting on vocals - live and Invisible Sun - the version available as well on the Peace Together album) were recorded for a french tv-show, called Taratata, broadcasted on french television on October 28th 1994.

As the definition of a bootleg is a recording that is not copyrighted or officially released, we may conclude that this one, this not copyrighted or officially released limited edition 7” on green vinyl could be called “a bootleg”.

Excuse my thickness, but I don’t know which of these are Covers and which Originals.
Apart from the obvious which are on albums and stuff like Teenage Kicks and Breaking the Law which are Covers for sure.

OpalMantra - the 2 live songs I sent you are from a BBC Radio Ulster broadcast. This is the same recording that ends up on “Some of the Rest”. There are fade endings on SotR and are slightly shorter in length - to be honest, the recordings I sent you are better than on SotR… Marko, I didn’t get them from your site so I don’t know what quality yours are. The recording I have is direct from BBC radio Ulster since I taped it myself.

I use Cool Edit or Feurio! to mark tracks, Feurio! is better, because it’s a simple sound editor + CD-burning programm and a shareware, but it’s possible to use it for free without any limitations.
