Title: Pile of Bricks

No idea. I’m guessing it’s an early title for a song that was released later that year, like Opal Mantra or Speedball.

I bet it’s Opal Mantra actually…

Title: Broadcast date

Should have mentioned the Peel session was broadcast 6/2/93, so it was most likely recorded in January of that year.

Opal Mantra wasn’t released till the Autumn of that year. So, plenty of time for Therapy? to change their minds about the title.

Could be wrong of course, and probably am. I’ll shut up.

It’s stupid i know, but i still belive that Pile of Bricks is something like a traditional song.
But probably Alan’s right, it could be an early version of Opal Mantra

Somehow I recall that in some Therapy? song there is a line “pile of bricks”, but then again I can’t figure out in what song. I even tried to search that but couldn’t find it… So has anyone figured out what tune is this..?

Ha, the irony!

I do believe the lyric “Pile of bricks” is from Wall of Mouths.

Marko - you were looking at it the whole time :-)

Of course it is from Wall Of Mouths! ;-) I was looking the lyrics before Troublegum, not after…

Can that “Pile Of Bricks” be “early-Wall Of Mouths” or is it just a
same words used later..? BTW has anyone heard that song?

I doubt it’s an early version. I seem to remember some lyrics for Human Mechanism ending up on 30 Seconds. The lyrics were just taken, not the music. I reckon Andy thought nobody would remember the lyrics from an old b-side!

Actually, an Irish band called Wilt have done the same thing. “Dave You Were Right” from their new album has lyrics from an old Kerndog b-side (Kerbdog split up and some members formed Wilt)
