This film was actually on the other night, and I was lucky enough to think of taping it.
Watched it last night. It wasn’t as good as I remember, but still not bad for a 1972 cheapo horror film.
Tales From The Crypt it is.

Story One: And All Through the House

Joan Collins stars as a less than perfect wife in a tale of a woman out to kill her husband on Christmas Eve. Once the deed has been done, an announcement on the radio tells of an escapee from a prison for the criminally insane and he’s dressed as Father Christmas…

Story Two: Reflection of Death

Ian Hendry is a man who can’t quite accept the fact that…he’s dead! He gets caught in a “Groundhog Day” scenario!

Story Three: Poetic Justice

Peter Cushing in a brilliant performance as Arthur Grimsdyke, an elderly gentleman mouning the loss of his wife and keeping busy with the help of neighborhood children and his dogs…until an evil neighbor sees to his undoing.

Story Four: Wish You Were Here

Richard Greene and Roy Dotrice in a variation of, “The Monkey’s Paw”. Be very careful what you wish for!

Story Five: Blind Alleys

Nigel Patrick and Patrick Magee star in this tale of an unbending and cruel man and the revenge of the men under his care.

The 4th and 5th stories are the best.

I think there were some more films made with the same title as part of a series of horror films. This one is from 1972.
I haven’t heard of Demon Knight.

I saw that movie the other night too - it was great!

I thought Dr Terrible’s House of Horrible was godawful.

ha, i wish i could remember. unfortunatly, i wasn’t paying much attention so i can’t tell you the stories in it, but it’s not the one you mentioned anyway, that’s for sure. i think there was a bunch of guys and girls sitting around a campfire telling each other scary stories but at the end it turns out that they had a car accident instead. i know it sounds confusing, but we were all very confused that evening! i’ll try to ask my mates, see if they’ve got better memory. doubt it, though. i’ll do some research.

Dr. Terror’s House Of Horror was a Peter Cushing film, where he told some train passengers their fortunes by using tarot cards (or house of terror as he called them). In the end the only way for each of them to avoid their fate was to die, and guess what, they did.
